A tablet phone is another word used for a smartphone. The reason why they are referred to as a tablet phone is because they have the capability of a tablet but compressed into the size of a mobile phone. Not every phone can fit into this category, minimum requirements are as follows;
A tablet phone must have the ability to email, message, call from, have a web browser, video call, camera and the ability to store apps. The ability to store apps is changing how we live, it often organises our life from the push of a button. Reminders, diet plans, exercise plans, social networking, music files, work related files and so much more are now all stored within our tablet phones.
Pretty much all tablet phones have a fully working touch screen interface, with the exception of perhaps blackberry. Smartphones are becoming more and more advanced and on personal experience they are the first thing I look for in the morning and about the last thing at night. If we are not updating our profiles, we are gathering information from the web or working on document etc.
The most popular brands of phone tablets are from Apple, Blackberry, Samsung, HTC, Nokia and Sony Ericsson.
The most popular operation systems are Android and Apple ios. Apple is exclusive to the iPhone range, however, android is open to most manufactures. Samsung and HTC have used Android extensively and their handsets are now up there as the best on the market!
Blackberry OS from RIM is the choice for Blackberry and their users just seem to love it! As blackberry move more towards touch screen functions web content has become a much more pleasant experience than on earlier models.
Nokia had a relatively unsuccessful time with their OVI/Symbian platform. Nokia have now put this behind them and teamed up with Microsoft Windows as their operation systems and I predict the years ahead will be exciting for users!
There are lessor known operation systems doing the rounds but none of the main manufactures are tying these.
